For those with short memory spans, I believe there is plenty of time TODAY to review the battle fatigue of the mighty USA. Just 50 years ago found our nation mired in the slog and destruction of Vietnam. I remember the protest concerts in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco circa 1969-73. This brutal chapter of US history is rarely spoken about at family dinner tables, or podiums in our capital. The "Cold War" was anything but cold, it was a white hot race to dominate resources such as latex, metals, minerals and potential gas/oil reserves. Freedom and democratic values be damned. Does your cell phone feel heavy now?
Is it too late to slow down forever war?
