A tale of mania and malignant narcissism. 2017 begins in a haze, like 2016 did after Bowie hit the high lift. This era has the feel of post Y2K and 9/11. The White House in a fever pitch to chop chop chop and find profit in war(s). Lets hear the hoorah$$$ for the current/counting 1.7 trillion debt for combined Iraq and Afghanistan! Less we forget the human toll, fallen soldiers, wounded soldiers, families of service men and women, citizens of said nations under siege. I marched and opposed these antagonistic ventures, while some cheered ---- HELL YES!

I have used the jetliner as an existential prop, and I have painted aircraft to represent military might and muscle. The history of flight follows the eclipse of the 19th to 20th centuries, the late industrial revolution. Like the advancement of bullet and mortar tech, the science to defy gravity haunts western civilization. The airplane as friend, and foe. Ferocious and yet benign. Have no qualms---we will never live in "peace time" again.

This ------ i$ -- forever war.
